Dear Joy,
I have just "discovered" Joy Chambers as a writer and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 books I have read so far. Mayfield and Vale Valhalla. It was a sad feeling when I finished each book as I wanted them to go on forever!! Thank you for giving so much pleasure.
Kathleen
Dear Joy,
....I met you at the Imperial War Museum London... when you were doing some research. After meeting you I read the books we stock and am about to start on the third (Mayfield). I really wish I had got you to sign them, and have really enjoyed the way you merge fiction with fact..... I've become a big fan of your writing.

Just finished reading None but the Brave, and enjoyed every word. I was born in East Yorkshire, grew up on the coast and attended school in Bridlington.. so right from the beginning the book it held an interest for me. my old school even had a connection with North London Collegiate which you also mentioned. I was enthralled all the way through and can now only wait for the next one.
I first came across your books on visits to Australia and one seeing your appearance in Neighbours anniversary programme recently (We are many months behind here) I suddenly thought to look on the Web and found the above book, I wait in anticipation for the next one. A wonderful book, thank you.

Dear Joy,
I have read "Vale Valhalla" and really loved it! Your characters are so live and bright; the plot is so thrilling that, once I got started, I just could not put the book down! While reading, I was plunged into the settings so deeply that literally forgot everything at all. Besides, it was most interesting for me historically. The Great War is something I little knew of; frankly, I was never particularly interested in it. But the book is so moving, you write about the war so sincerely, it touched me so deeply that I started reading about WW1 more and more since then..... I am so grateful to you for your work.

Dear Joy
As an avid reader of your books I am greatly excited to know when your forthcoming book For Freedom will be published. A close relative of mine was born on 7th December and I never fail to remember the significance of that date in history and the terrible loss of life and consequences that the action on that day led to. A friend I knew, told me that as a prisoner of war at Nagasaki he laboured deep in the mines until 9th August 1945. ..... I look forward to reading about the lives of your characters and how theses times affected them - I know it will be worth the wait.

I have just finished reading your first three books, which added up to a lot of sleepless nights, I loved them, and what a wonderful way to learn a bit of history..
Thanks and keep writing,
Ivan
Dear Joy, I have just finished reading Mayfield and I loved it, I have since purchased Vale Valhalla and ordered None but the brave and My Zula Myself. I enjoyed the book so much that I am going to order an additional 3 copies of Mayfield for friends as I know they would like to keep a copy. thankyou so much joy for writing such a great book.
Yours Truly.
Sue
Joy,
I am currently reading "None But the Brave." I am really enjoying it. I also wanted to let you know that I live in America, in the state of Virginia. I picked up "None But the Brave" and "My Zulu Myself" in Bermuda. I was wondering if your publishers ever thought of going into the U.S.of A. You would most likely have a large following here, too. Have you ever read James Michener. I think of you as very similiar to his writing -- Historical novels with characters that are fascinating. Thank you for emailing me back.
Sincerely,
Lauren
